We will have a lot going on in church on Sunday September 11th and hope you will be a part of it!

Children’s Sunday School will resume during worship. Children are welcome in worship, and then at the appropriate time will be invited downstairs for their own learning time, or can remain in worship if parents prefer. Our safe and secure nursery will also be available for ages 0-4 at that time.
Information will be available in the parlor before worship for anyone interested in getting involved in our many ministry opportunities. There are so many ways to serve: being on a ministry team, joining (or launching!) a small group, playing a role in the worship service, ushering, volunteering behind the scenes, or serving the needy of our community and beyond. Come find your place with us!
Our adult “Christian Conversation” class will also resume prior to worship, at 9:00-9:45 am in Becker Hall. This fall the class will be led by Pastor Doug as we explore the question “What is a Church?” The study will begin with an opening teaching time followed by lots of discussion.
Our Full Sunday Worship Service will resume, including our shared music program with First United Methodist Church.  Throughout the year we will have many special offerings of music, drama, occasional guest preaching, and… some surprises… so stay tuned!
Finally, Sunday September 11th is the 15th anniversary of the attacks of September 11th, 2001, and we will remember and honor those who lost their lives, those who survived, those who were bereaved, and those who saved lives on that day 15 years ago, as we pray for God’s justice and peace in our world.

We look forward to what God will be doing in and through our congregation this year. Come and join us, and bring someone with you!
