Please find linked here your April Newsletter! May your remaining Lent journey be fruitful and your Easter be joyful!…
Hello everyone! Holy Week is creeping up on us fast and it is time to pull together volunteers for our Maundy Thursday Service on April 18th at 7pm in our sanctuary. We will again share this experience with First UMC and Grace Lutheran, and possibly other congregations.
We need volunteers for the following: 2 Candle Lighters/Snuffers, 2 light switch operators, 6 scripture readers, and 2 elders and/or deacons to help with communion service (need not be presently serving). Doing the lights is best covered by someone from our own congregation. We will do a brief run-through of the service Monday, Tueday, or Wednesday of Holy week.
I hope many of you will feel the Holy Spirit’s tug to respond, whether or not you have helped with this before. It is always a moving service that tells the story and leads us to consider our own response to our Lord as He was arrested and traveled the road to the cross.
Thanks in advance and please contact me if interested!
Shalom, ~Pastor Doug
